Why Tallow?
Tallow is a nutrient-rich fat rendered from suet; the protective fat that surrounds the organs of cattle.
Beef tallow was widely used in traditional skincare across ancient and early modern cultures, but its popularity declined in the 20th century with the rise of synthetic ingredients and mass-produced cosmetics.
People are now realising that synthetic products aren't all they were advertised to be and so, we are slowly returning to natural skincare.
Rich in fat-soluble vitamins A, D, E, and K, tallow supports barrier function, promotes elasticity, and delivers lasting hydration without clogging pores. Unlike synthetic moisturisers which damage the skins integrity and cause dependence, tallow works in harmony with your skin soothing inflammation, repairing dryness, and restoring balance.
At Element Organics, our tallow is sourced from pasture-raised cattle in New South Wales, Australia. Free from hormones and antibiotics.
